Pilotprojekt

Dialogfeld 1

  • CAROLA KEITEL

Carola Keitel, an artist who works with several media, has taken on the railing. For example, she places original, solidly built metal railings in the middle of the room, bringing objects that we only perceive subliminally in everyday life into our consciousness. The boundaries, which seem strange in the exhibition context, change the place: it is suddenly perceived as something special and becomes an event in itself. Carola Keitel lives and works in Cologne. She studied art and philosophy in Kassel. In 2013 she was awarded the Daniel Frese Prize for Contemporary Art.

  • SUTTER / SCHRAMM

Enrico Sutter and Daniel Schramm founded “Sutter/Schramm” in 2007 and have since realized several ritualistic and energetic performances in which one reacts to the action of the other, repeating and interpreting it. A movement, gesture or form is repeated like an infinite loop until its own meaningful significance and sensuality can be attributed to it. In doing so, they explore physical states and test the limits of the body's resilience to the point of exhaustion.

Both studied fine arts at the HfBK Dresden under Prof. Kerbach and Prof. Sery and also work as artists. They both live and work in Dresden.
